Changing Chairs - North Dorset

Interesting and informative training for new chairs and vice chairs to council and committees, councillors considering the role of chair or as a refresher for those with more experience. 

This training consists of two parts:

Part One - pre-session viewing
View a video presentation of chairing hints and tips, with an overview of the role. The link to the recording will be sent two weeks prior to Part Two to enable you to view this at a time/date convenient to yourself. We would encourage you to have any questions at the ready for Part Two. 

Part Two - training session
This session, led by Neil Wedge, DAPTC Chief Executive, is a recap on some of the main themes in the video, blended with an opportunity to get views from the group to the questions you have. It’s relaxed and aimed at helping you either get a refresher on chairing or provide an introduction to this important role in council.
