Owermoigne is a rural village with a Parish council of 7 councillors and holds an evening meeting every other month on the third Wednesday of the month.
The main items the Parish Council are involved in are:
- Liaison with Dorset Council on planning matters
- Upkeep and maintenance of highways
- Public rights of way including verge and hedge issues
- Upkeep and maintenance of Owermoigne Park together with other parish assets and amenities
- Liaison with statutory authorities/bodies
- Supporting the parishioners and parish projects providing guidance and assistance where financially viable and possible.
The role is a permanent and the successful applicant will predominantly work from home.
The Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer is the proper and most senior officer to the Parish Council. The post holder has overall responsibility for all the administration requirements in relation to council finances, services, and activities. We are looking for someone with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to work autonomously.
