Hours: Flexible (to fit around hall bookings)
Contract: Part-time / Self-employed / Contract arrangement
Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role

We’re seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner or Cleaning Company to help keep Charminster Community Hall in excellent condition. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the hall is always clean, safe, and welcoming for our community users, private bookings, and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • A regular deep weekly clean of all areas of the hall
  • Clean and maintain all areas of the community hall to a high standard.
  • Ensure the hall is tidy and help to set up for upcoming bookings (chairs, tables, etc.). (for cleaning companies this can be further discussed)
  • Replenish cleaning and catering supplies and report when stock needs ordering.
  • Notify the Hall Administrator or Parish Clerk of any repairs or maintenance issues.
  • Follow all health, safety, and fire regulations.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
  • Good communication with hall staff and users.

Desirable:

  • Experience cleaning public or community venues.
  • Knowledge of health & safety and COSHH requirements.
  • Ability to carry out minor maintenance or checks (optional).
