Quick guide to what is available and when for your new councillors and also for those wanting a refresh on key topics as the new council term starts. There are a series of 1 minute videos covering the course contents and our offer for clerks to undertake free e-learning modules is ongoing so you know what your councillors will be getting - don't miss out!
DAPTC now offer training in different formats so you can match content/topics to the most convenient way for your councillors to get upskilled to undertake their roles. In the post election period up the end of 2024 we have filled our diary with course content. We know you won't all get to this immediately so have stretched the dates and times across a number of months. We also have evening slots for those working. We are particularly keen to push the take up of e-learning as this delivers training at low cost for your council, less time commitment from councillors (typically anything from 10 mins to 60 mins) and also a short quiz at the end - which helps reinforce key points as well as understanding.
Making It Easier to Make Multiple Bookings
Multiple bookings can be made where you have a number of councillors wishing to join the same course, date and time. The following short video shows how this can be done.
Making Multiple Bookings Video - where councillors have identified a specific course, date and time to attend together, our website allows a Clerk to add a number of delegates on one page.
If councillors want different courses and dates and times, you will need to book them on those specific courses individually.
