You can now vote in the direct elections of the NALC larger and smaller councils’ committee.

To be eligible to vote in either election your council must be a larger or a smaller council.

If you or someone in your team wants help, support and fresh ideas to help them get more out of their day or simply use some very ceative tech and software - these courses might just tick the box. Look out for the Ducks in a Row logo!

Improving Water Quality in Dorset Rivers

A vitally important topic for many of you we know. Litter Free Dorset will be working with partners on reducing litter and improving water quality in rivers between 2025-30.

Shaftesbury Town Council are delighted to announce that its Town Clerk, Brie Logan has been named a 'Clerk of the Year' finalist for the National Association of Local Councils' (NALC) Star Council Awards 2023.

We have decided to set up a partnership with RAW as they are trusted by some big names including National Trust, Merlin and McArthur Glen Outlets.

The 2023 DAPTC AGM information for member councils has been published. member council clerks can circulate and review the information. The date is Saturday 18 November at 10am via Zoom

We want to alert Parish and Town Councils to the fact that Ash Dieback is not the death sentence at first thought and many trees can recover and continue to grow healthily.

Just a reminder to our National Assembly members as well as clerks and councillors who would like to get involved in NALC governance, we launched our elections back in August and the deadline for submitting nominations is fast approaching!

• Four directly elected non-voting clerks from larger councils.
