Weymouth’s deckchairs, the only entry from Dorset to make the shortlist, came 5th overall.
The Seaside Heritage Network has run the Bucket and Spade List since 2023. The list encourages members of the public to nominate and vote on their favourite example of seaside heritage.
Cllr Ryan Hope, Chair of Weymouth Town Council’s Environment and Service Committee, said: "I would like to thank everyone for taking the time to vote for Weymouth’s famous deckchairs in this year’s Bucket and Spade List for the top seaside experiences. We were delighted to feature in the shortlist and take great pride in having the only heritage attraction from Dorset to secure a spot in the top ten. Residents and visitors have been sitting back in Weymouth’s iconic deckchairs to admire the views across the bay for years, and long may this timeless tradition continue. Thanks again for your wonderful support.”
