Dorset Council is preparing a new local plan. This ‘scoping’ stage focuses on identifying the issues the local plan should address and how people would like to be involved in future consultations.
The consultation asks questions about:
- what the local plan should cover
- its proposed vision and priorities
- how Dorset should grow
- the evidence needed to inform the plan
- how people should be involved
Please note, this consultation is not seeking views on possible sites for development, any specific policies, or presenting any information on possible sites for development at this stage. There will be further opportunities to submit sites for consideration and to share views on site options through the local plan at a later stage.
