Prevent Awareness Essentials
This e-learning course explores the shadow cast by terrorism and extremism, how to spot warning signs and where to seek support for those in danger of becoming radicalised.
Gain an understanding of the relevant legislation, what radicalisation means and the relationship between extremism and terrorism. Learn about the tools used by extremist groups, like social media, to radicalise vulnerable individuals and why vigilance has never been so important in the fight against terrorism.
After completing the course you will:
- Be able to refer to relevant legislation related to keeping society safe from radicalisation and terrorism
- Gain an understanding of what radicalisation means and why people may be vulnerable to being drawn into terrorism
- Understand the term ‘extremism’ and the relationship between extremism and terrorism
