Part-Time position: 30 hours per month
Salary range: SP 13 - 17 (£14.60 - £15.58ph)
Applications are invited for the part-time post of Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to Puncknowle & Swyre Parish Council.

Puncknowle and Swyre Parish Council groups together these two villages and includes West Bexington.  The area lies to the north and south of the B3157 Coast Road about 6 miles east of Bridport and is home to just over 500 residents.

The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with good organisational and numeracy ability. Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Word and Excel are needed; a qualification in Finance would be beneficial.

The work is primarily home based. A laptop, and printer are provided.

Training can be arranged, including New Clerk Training.

The key aspects of the work are:

The preparation for meetings and follow-through minutes/actions

Maintaining the financial records including the accounts and financial records, budget preparation, payroll, banking and annual audit.

Communication with council members, village residents and outside bodies as appropriate

Arranging insurance cover
