Training for new clerks

The session will cover what is involved in being a new town or parish clerk and some of the basics of the role, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

Topics covered will include information on meetings, agenda and minutes, standing orders, budgets & precepts, powers to spend, general power of competence and the code of conduct.

This course is also an ideal opportunity for you to meet clerks from across the county and share ideas and best practices.
